I'm Sharon, and I am so happy you're here. If I were to describe my style in one word, it would be COLOR. As you look through my gallery, you'll see rich, bold, beautiful color.
During the editing process, I try to bring out colors as much as I can--the deep greens of the lush grass, the reds and oranges of the trees as their leaves change color, the soft blueness of the sky, or even the bright orange of a traffic cone in downtown Dallas. No lie. They really do make for good background props.
One of the many things that drew me to photography is the way people’s eyes light up when I show them a picture that I took of themselves or of their loved ones. It really sparks something inside of me. It’s crazy to me that I’m able to freeze a moment of time and preserve it for the future. Sometimes, all you have left are the photos, and having the honor of presenting people with tangible memories is priceless.
I take great pride in the fact that I get to capture the essence of someone’s beauty and the things that make up that beauty—like the twinkle in their eyes, the confidence in their raised brow, or when the corners of their mouth lift into a sweet smile. I love when people look at the back of my camera and say, “That’s me?”Yes, that’s you! You are STUNNING. And everything that makes you—you—is what makes you beautiful.
I would love to be the one to document the precious moments in your life . To preserve your memories. To tell your story. It would be an absolute honor.
I have a dog named Jericho, He’s my best friend/number one boy. He wins the award for the best good boy there is.
I don’t think I have a favorite color because I like so many, but I find that I wear a lot of shades of blue….Pink and purple are up there as well. And green. Ughhhh. I like all the colors.
I use the word, ‘literally’, way too much. I read somewhere on the internet that this means you’re unintelligent, but I beg to differ. In fourth grade, I was third in my class.
Naturally, I like all the cliché stuff: coffee, dogs, flowers, chocolate, romantic comedy. I don’t like sad movies. So, if someone dies, don’t even bother suggesting it. I won’t watch it.
I’m all for documenting memories. You know when people are like, “Why are you recording? Just live in the moment.” No. You can document and still live in the moment. So, take the photo, and record that memory. How else, five years from now will you remember that you bought a donut on top of a 14,000 ft. mountain and ate it when you got back down because the train was about to leave without you? Or how else will you be able to relive the memory of you singing along to your favorite artist at a concert without snapchat reminding you what you did on this day three years ago? The point is, yes, you might vaguely remember, but if you have a photograph or video in front of you, you can relive the moment a little better, emotions, excitement, and all.
I thank the Lord for the skill and the passion He's given me for photography. Growing up, I didn't think I'd actually go for it, but here I am. Glory be to God always.
Please have a look around before you go. The pictures I’ve posted on here are my art. My work. My memories of your memories. Be assured that when I deliver your gallery, you will be getting my best. I put so much time and effort into my work and will not deliver your photos unless they meet my almost impossible standards—which means ughhhh for me and yay for you lol.
Ok! I hope to see you soon! Enjoy, and I hope you have the most wonderful day <3
